Clareira/Clearing

Sou o assassino e o assassinado
Nascido na terra do assassinado
Andando na terra do assassino

Sou a face que eles se recusam a ver
Sou a verdade que eles nao querem ser
Sou o selvagem marginal civilizado
Sou o mestiço conquistador do mundo
Seguindo a jornada da vida
Pelos córregos de sangue da ignorancia

Uma pausa, um descanso, cai bem
Estar sozinho, recompor,
Mergulhar em pensamentos.

I am the murderer and the murdered
Born in the murdered's land
Walking in the murderer's land

I am the face they refuse to see
I am the truth they don't want to be
I am the marginal civilized savage
I am the inbred conqueror of the world
Riding life's journey
Through the blood streams of ignorance

A pause, a rest, is nicely fit
To be alone, to recompose,
To dive in thoughts.

Epílogo da Tempestade de Shakespeare/Shakespeare's The Tempest Epilogue

EPÍLOGO
Falado por PROSPERO
Agora meus encantamentos estão todos derrubado,
E qualquer força que tenha é minha própria,
O que é muito débil. Ora é verdade,
Devo ficar aqui confinado por vós,
Ou ser mandado para Nápoles. Não me deixai,
Dado que consegui meu ducado,
E perdoei meu enganador, por vosso feitiço
Nesta ilha vazia morar;
Mas liberai-me de meus laços
Com a ajuda de vossas boas mãos.
Vosso gentil sopro minhas velas
Deve inflar, senão meu projeto falha,
Que era agradar. Agora quero
Espíritos para impingir, arte para encantar;
E meu fim é o desespero
A menos que seja aliviado por oração,
Que perfura de modo a assaltar
A própria Misericórdia, e liberta todas as faltas.
Como vós de crimes perdoado seríeis,
Que vossa indulgência me ponha livre.

EPILOGUE
Spoken by PROSPERO

Now my charms are all o'erthrown,
And what strength I have's mine own,
Which is most faint. Now 'tis true,
I must be here confin'd by you,
Or sent to Naples. Let me not,
Since I have my dukedom got,
And pardon'd the deceiver, dwell
In this bare island by your spell;
But release me from my bands
With the help of your good hands.
Gentle breath of yours my sails
Must fill, or else my project fails,
Which was to please. Now I want
Spirits to enforce, art to enchant;
And my ending is despair
Unless I be reliev'd by prayer,
Which pierces so that it assaults
Mercy itself, and frees all faults.
As you from crimes would pardon'd be,
Let your indulgence set me free.

estrofe/stanza

Era um sonho ladrão de submergir-me
Na vida universal, e, em tudo imerso,
Fazer da parte abstrata do Universo
Minha morada equilibrada e firme!
- Augusto dos Anjos, em "As cismas do destino", II

It was a thief dream of submerging me
In the universal life, and, in everything immersed,
To make of the abstract part of the Universe,
My equilibrated and steady dwelling!
- Augusto dos Anjos, in "Destiny's musings", II
